After seeing Orca on last years trip to Canada we decided that we would like to see a "true" whale.

A little research soon indicated that the Azores were the closest location with a high probability of actually seeing a whale and so we decided to book a trip with Whale Watch Azores which we booked via Archipelego Choice.

Our trip was led by Lisa Steiner a Marine Biologist who has been studying Sperm Whales in the Azores for over 20 years. Lisa's skill, in conjunction with Captain Nuno, ensured that we saw around a dozen whales (including a relatively unusual Bryde's Whale) and hundreds of dolphin.
